The expiry of the Viagra patent on Friday 21 June 2013 in several European countries including the UK was a hugely anticipated event in the pharmaceutical calendar, with generic manufacturers now licenced to produce ‘generic Viagra’ called, the name deriving from the active chemical name of Viagrasildenafil citrate.
National news outlets covered the story with reports of tablets being availablefrom as little as 60 pence eachDr Fox started to receive numerous enquiries about sildenafil, it’s cost and availability.
We stood ready on Friday 21 June at the Dr Fox offices, poised to add details of the newly licenced versions at much lower prices to our range of treatments available for … but no information was forthcoming from the pharmacy wholesalers.
Over the weekend we received a price list for sildenafil that was not much lower cost than Pfizer’s own-brand Viagra – saving the customer on average £2 on a £24–£40 order. Unimpressed we added the generic sildenafil as an order option with the slightly lower price. Not surprisingly many users of our service contacted us to enquire if we had made some kind of mistake.
By the following Tuesday sensible pricing was made available from the original original manufacturer of sildenafil but the cost was then reported as being between £94 and £_140 for a dose of sildenafil 50mg as we now offer 100mg tablets.
Dr Fox products now cost sildenafil 50mg at £SCG prices and tadalafil 20mg at £Cialis prices but this price will be slightly lower when starting a newdaily.
If you find no price information available at our site, we will make appropriate a request and you can find our patients-only responder at GP surgeries when price has remained the same.
For any questions or concerns, our GP will be happy to contact you but to-contact to ask your doctor or pharmacist any relevant question about sildenafil.
